Hi i'm Maryum K. Shadeed
Fashion Designer • Sewing Educator • Advocate
I am a fashion designer, sewing educator, and advocate whose work lives at the intersection of creativity, education, and community care. I believe fashion is more than clothing; it is a form of expression, identity, and healing. Through my work, I design clothing, teach sewing skills, and create spaces where people can learn, grow, and reconnect with their own creativity. My approach is intentional and rooted in the belief that creativity should be accessible and transformative, not exclusive. I use fashion, teaching, and advocacy to help people build confidence in their ideas and their ability to create with their own hands. Everything I do is guided by the intention to support growth, expression, and restoration through creativity.
I am rooted in advocacy and community work, with Baltimore, Maryland, shaping both my perspective and purpose. This city is not just where I’m from; it informs how I see people, creativity, and care in practice.
